Make infrastructure change clear at every checkpoint

In financial services, the execution record matters alongside the finished installation. O-Connect supports the client's change controls with defined work boundaries, authorised access and documented checkpoints. Field activities are sequenced around the approved operating window, with infrastructure checks and evidence organised for the technical and operational teams responsible for acceptance.

The brief

Translate the approved change into accountable fieldwork

The delivery plan begins with the client's change package and the controls that apply to the affected environment. We confirm who can authorize access, release each step and assess the agreed fallback conditions. Where the design specifies separate power or network paths, the relevant physical checks are included in the work scope and acceptance record.

During execution, observations and deviations are recorded against the approved plan. An unexpected connection, equipment mismatch or unmet prerequisite is escalated to the designated owner for a decision. Evidence is prepared to support the client's internal review process, while the client retains responsibility for its regulatory interpretation, risk decisions and final authorization to return services to operation.

Scope & deliverables

What the work covers.

Authorized work sequence

A field execution sequence aligned to the approved change, including access conditions, release points and the named customer authorities responsible for decisions during the window.

Physical path check records

Documented checks of in-scope power and network connections against the approved design, making observed routing, labelling and connection discrepancies visible to the responsible engineering teams.

Exception and decision log

A record of departures from the planned work, their impact and the customer decisions received, supporting a traceable account of how the change was executed.

Review-ready completion evidence

Installation records, scoped validation results and outstanding actions organised to the client's agreed format for technical acceptance, operational handover and subsequent internal change review activities.

Delivery approach

A clear path through the work.

  1. Agree the control points

Review the approved change with the client, confirming scope, access, validation ownership and the conditions under which work must pause or move to an agreed fallback.

  2. Execute with recorded decisions

Perform the authorised fieldwork and physical checks, capturing progress and routing unexpected conditions to the named authority before continuing any affected part of the change.

  3. Support the acceptance review

Reconcile results with the agreed requirements, present exceptions and completion evidence, and support the customer's decision to accept the infrastructure change or retain open actions.

A clear record of the change that occurred

Your team receives infrastructure delivery evidence linked to the approved work and the decisions made during execution. That record supports technical acceptance and internal review, with remaining issues assigned to owners and operational responsibilities made explicit before the project moves out of the change window.

Planning questions

Before the work begins.

Does the deployment service certify regulatory compliance?

No. Our role is to execute the agreed infrastructure scope and supply evidence that supports the client's controls. The client and its appointed advisers determine applicable obligations, evaluate compliance and approve the resulting environment through their own governance and risk processes.

How are rollback decisions handled during the work?

The client approves the fallback approach, decision thresholds and authorised decision maker before execution. We identify those checkpoints in the field sequence and report conditions that affect them. Any fallback activity follows the approved scope and the instructions of the designated authority.

Can evidence follow our internal change-review format?

Yes. We can agree the required record structure, naming conventions and evidence-handling process during planning. The package covers the field activities and checks in scope. Additional records owned by internal teams or other suppliers are identified as separate inputs to the client's review.
